Indian Red Cross Society is Non-religious, Non-governmental, Secular, Non-political, international humanitarian organization. Indian Red Cross Society was established and incorporated under the Parliament Act XV of 1920 (Amended by Act No. 22 of 1956 and the Adaption of Law (No 4) order of 1957 and the Act. No. 14 of 1992).
Indian Red Cross Society is a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and is recognized by the International Committee of Red Cross. It has wide network of over 700 branches providing disaster relief, health and social welfare programs in India. Honorable President of India is the president, Honorable Prime Mister is the Vice President and Honorable Health Minister is the Chairman of IRCS.
Gujarat State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society came into existence in the year 1960 where Governor of State is the Present and State Health Minister is the Vice President of the State Branch. There are 23 District and 46 Sub District Branch of Gujarat State Branch.
